Black Knights Win in Glorious Fashion
|
In a well-pitched game between the Brooklyn Black Knights and the Quebec Armada, pitcher Rod Larcombe was superb. The Brooklyn right-hander was named the player of the game in Brooklyn's 2-1 win. Brooklyn reliever Tokaji Goto got the win, raising his record to 2-9. Finley Goddier was tagged with the loss. Brooklyn now owns a record of 78-66.
Brooklyn took a 2-1 lead on Artie Woodard's 12th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Quebec pitcher Finley Goddier in the bottom of the ninth.
"Great to get the crowd on its feet," Woodard said.
