Hops Need Extras to Top Jesters
The San Diego Hops outlasted the Jersey Jesters, 5-4, in 14 innings. San-pao Chio led the way, going 2-for-2 for San Diego. San Diego reliever Zong-yuan Sang picked up the win, upping his record to 1-3. Kenko Samurakami shouldered the loss. At 52-92, the Hops are currently last in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.

Ricardo Romo had the critical at-bat for San Diego. With no one out in the bottom of the 14th inning, he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. It gave San Diego the 5-4 walk-off win.

Romo called winning a team effort. "It's not the same guy every time," he said. "It's the sum of the parts."
