Losing Streak Continues for Titans with 8-3 Loss
|
The Portland Beavers bested the Omaha Titans by a score of 8-3, with left fielder António Barbarro getting the main credit. On the day, Barbarro was 2-3 with a home run and a walk for the Beavers. Toyotomi Nakano was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 30 of 35 save opportunities. Omaha is in the throes of a 10-game skid.
A key at-bat came in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the bases loaded, the batter, Anuvaha Tasha, hit a 2-run single. It made the score 5-3, Portland, and helped them go on to win.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Bernard Jacq, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
