San Diego beat Jacksonville in a rain-soaked ballgame.
San Diego starter Mal Tosewell pitched effectively against the Jacksonville Jacks at Skellington Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a 6-0 win. San Diego's record now stands at 50-91, placing them last in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.
Doing his part for San Diego was center fielder Xavier Encarnación, who stroked a solo home run in the top of the second. For the game, Encarnación went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"I had pretty much everything working," said Tosewell.
