The Mile High Mustangs powered past the New York Mafia, 9-2, at McNichols Stadium. Ted Burbidge was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3, to lead the charge. Lorenzo Soto got the win, improving to 7-6. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 6 and walking 1. The Mustangs have now won 4 straight.

Marshall Dempsey came through for Mile High in the bottom of the third. With no one out, Dempsey victimized Nobuhito Suzuki with a 3-run home run. It was his 39th home run of the season and put Mile High on top, 4-1.
