In a close game at Legends Park, the Maple Marauders edged the So Cal Republic, 5-4. Maple left fielder Oscar Hunt earned the nod as player of the game. He went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The Marauders, at 84-56, lead by one game in their division.
Maple took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Dustin McMahon hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Marauders.
McMahon told the Maple Gazette: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
