The Kelowna Heat and Trois-Rivieres Saints were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Brantford College Grounds.
The Trois-Rivieres Saints beat the Kelowna Heat, 6-1, at Brantford College Grounds. The Saints got a fine performance from right fielder Manny Silva, who captured player of the game honors. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Trois-Rivieres is now 34-17. Kelowna is 22-29.
Bing-de Xian had a productive at-bat for the Saints with two out in the top of the seventh. With a runner on 3rd, the center fielder drew a walk. The at-bat was important in the Trois-Rivieres win.
"The division is still up for grabs, but I like our chances," Xian told the Trois-Rivieres Times.
