Tim Lush pitched well, but the Calgary Outlaws still lost the game, falling 3-2 to the Montreal Royales at Corvettes Ballpark. Montreal reliever Gilbert Conte picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-0. Tim Lush was collared with the loss. The Royales own a robust 31-18 mark.
Going deep for Montreal was Johnny Curtis. The designated hitter had a solo home run in the top of the fourth for the Royales. It put his team ahead, 3-2, and sent them on to victory. For the game, Curtis went 1-3 with a home run and a walk.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Curtis said.
