Granier Lifts Outlaws to 12-3 Win
|
The Calgary Outlaws met little resistance from the Victoria Capitals, beating them 12-3 at Corvettes Ballpark. Jonas Granier led the way. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for Calgary. Earning his 2nd save of the year was Adam Short. The losses continue to mount for Victoria, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
One of the key players for the Outlaws was right fielder Jim Unknown, who drilled a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fourth inning. For the game, Unknown was 2 for 5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
Granier told the Calgary News: "I think I thrive on conflict. It brings out my best."
