Outlaws Get 8-3 Win Versus Saskatoon
|
A nice crowd turned out to see the Calgary Outlaws and Saskatoon Legends clash at Corvettes Ballpark.
Getting a good performance from left fielder Greg Simms, the Calgary Outlaws defeated the Saskatoon Legends, 8-3. Simms was 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Outlaws. The Outlaws now own a record of 17-25.
When the Outlaws needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Simms who delivered. Facing Saskatoon pitcher Nolan Granter the bottom of the second with runners on 1st and 3rd, Simms hit his 7th home run of the year. It made the score 5-0.
"We came out aggressive," said Calgary Outlaws manager Motoyuki Hayashi. "We came out swinging the bats."
