7-3 Monarchs Win over Capitals Evens Season Record
|
It was a fun time at Hatchets Ballpark, where the Victoria Capitals and London Monarchs tangled.
London starter Dennis Horning pitched effectively against the Victoria Capitals at Hatchets Ballpark. The right-hander led his team to a 7-3 win. Horning, now 3-4, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 9, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs.
With one out in the bottom of the second, Brad Rollin stroked a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 33rd hit of the season and put London in front, 1-0.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Horning.
