Garry Graham did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Niagara Stars from losing, 4-3, to the Victoria Capitals at Ballpark of Chilliwack College. Graham was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the save was Craig Wyman, his 4th. The second-place Capitals raised their record to 18-20.
Kevin Rivière took Edwin Crespin deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Capitals in front, 3-0. For the game, Rivière was 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Rivière said.
