The Trois-Rivieres Saints beat the London Monarchs, 9-5, at Blue Wings Ballpark. The Saints got a fine performance from shortstop Hoyt Mullett, who captured player of the game honors. He went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The third-place Monarchs have dropped 4 straight games.
Mullett contributed when he hit a 2-run single in the bottom of the seventh. Coming with two outs and the bases loaded, the single proved to be critical to helping Trois-Rivieres get the win.
