Victory Pushes Legends Record to 14-13
|
The Saskatoon Legends picked up a win at Ballpark of Red Deer College, knocking off the Montreal Royales, 5-3. Starting pitcher Earl Lee played a key role in the triumph. Picking up the save was Kevin Labbee, his 9th. With the win, Saskatoon goes to 14-13, while the Royales fall to 17-10.
Ryan Gervais brought the hometown crowd to its feet with two out in the bottom of the first. That's when the 19-year old left fielder belted a 2-run home run. With the round-tripper, the Legends took the lead, 2-0.
"You never take a win for granted in this league," said Gervais.
