Victory Over Heat Takes Trois-Rivieres to 18-9
Trois-Rivieres starter Bill Hoffmann kept the Kelowna hitters in check, while his team cruised to a 9-2 win. Hoffmann got the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 2 hits and walked 4 over 5.1 innings. Hoffmann allowed no earned runs. Jason Benson earned the save for Trois-Rivieres, his 1st of the year.

Luke Cowley helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a bases-clearing double to give Trois-Rivieres a 3-0 lead.

"We took it on the chin today," said losing manager Bob Cunningham.

The first-place Saints have a one-game lead in their division.
