Saskatoon left-hander Earl Lee made an effective start against the London Monarchs at Ballpark of Red Deer College, leading his team to a 8-6 win. In 5 innings, Lee surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run. The save was credited to Kevin Labbee, his 5th.
Jay Cassidy helped out the Saskatoon cause in the bottom of the fourth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 4 with a walk.
"Getting the win feels pretty nice," said Cassidy. "More importantly, I had a good game."
