Mark Helps Outlaws Beat Legends
|
Calgary and Saskatoon got after it at Ballpark of Red Deer College.
The Calgary Outlaws topped the Saskatoon Legends by the score of 8-6, with the largest share of the credit going to third baseman Keagan Mark. Mark was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 6 runs and scored once for the Outlaws. The winner was Mitch Lovell, who threw 82 pitches over 5.1 innings. The left-hander was charged with 3 runs on 8 hits. Spencer Downie earned the save, his 5th, for the Outlaws.
Mark contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the first. With the bases loaded, he hit a grand slam. It was one at-bat among others that helped Calgary get the win.
"We'll take this win and move on," said Mark.
With the win over Saskatoon, the Outlaws improved to 7-8.
