Victory Pushes Outlaws Record to 5-5
|
It was a good time at Corvettes Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Saskatoon Legends and Calgary Outlaws get after it.
Saskatoon had no answer for Calgary Outlaws hurler Mitch Lovell, who overwhelmed Legends hitters as the Outlaws coasted to a 6-1 victory. Calgary has a mark of 5-5 after the win.
Calgary first baseman Jonas Granier helped the Outlaws to the win. In the bottom of the third inning, the 19-year old first baseman stroked a 2-run home run. For the game, Granier was 1-5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Feels good to get the job done," Lovell said after the game.
