Multi-HR Game for Silva in 12-5 Win
The Trois-Rivieres Saints beat the Calgary Outlaws, 12-5, at Blue Wings Ballpark. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Manny Silva, who captured player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 6. Trois-Rivieres reliever Billy Backstrom picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Tim Lush shouldered the loss. With the loss, Calgary falls to 4-4.

Also having an impact was shortstop Hoyt Mullett, who stroked a 2-run triple in the bottom of the first for Trois-Rivieres. For the game, Mullett went 2-4 with a triple and a walk. He drove in 3 runs.

"It was a solid team effort," said Mullett after the game.
