Capitals Continue Skid Thanks to Roberts, Royales
It was a fun time at Eliminators Ballpark, where the Victoria Capitals and Montreal Royales tangled.

The Montreal Royales downed the Victoria Capitals, 14-5, at Eliminators Ballpark. Pete Roberts led the way, going 3-for-6 for Montreal. Bruce Easton got the win, improving to 1-0. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 5 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 3. Bernard Coste locked down his 1st save.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and one out in the bottom of the third inning. That's when center fielder Abdel Peltier drew a walk. The Royales went on to win.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Montreal manager Totoya Sakei.

The Royales raised their record to 4-2.
