Roberts goes 3-for-3 as Royales Squeeze Past Calgary
Corvettes Ballpark was the site of the home opener for the Calgary Outlaws. The contest featured a prime matchup between Bruce Easton of the visiting Montreal Royales and Patrice Leroux of the Outlaws. The final score was 9-8, the Royales getting the win. Earning player of the game honors was Pete Roberts.

Roberts had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 2-0 fastball from Adam Short, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Royales a 6-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Roberts.

"We got the victory," said Roberts. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
