Royales Win 4-3 Walk-Off
|
The Montreal Royales wiggled past the Trois-Rivieres Saints, 4-3, at Eliminators Ballpark. Montreal pitcher Bruce Easton earned player of the game honors. The Royales now have a record of 12-8 with the win over Trois-Rivieres.
The game came to an abrupt end with two out in the bottom of the tenth. On a pitch from Tom Labelle, Chad Fox hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Montreal the 4-3 walk-off win.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Trois-Rivieres skipper Salvador López, "and it cost us."
