Late Magic Gets Oregon 9-8 Win
Louisiana-Layfayette left fielder Hank Ramsey had a terrific game. He went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Oregon beat the Ragin Cajuns, 9-8. Ramsey was named the player of the game despite the loss. Oregon reliever Daniel Colcheeper picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Kelly Young was saddled with the loss. With the win, Oregon goes to 17-26, while the Ragin Cajuns fall to 28-15.

Vince Davis contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With the bases loaded, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. It was one at-bat that helped Oregon get the win.

"What a game," said Davis. "We needed every last run."
