Loss to Golden Bears Extends Arizona State Losing Streak
|
With second baseman Roy Cochrane leading the charge, the California Golden Bears defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils, 6-2, at Ballpark of Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley College. Cochrane, who is tied for 4th in the RDL in bases on balls with 34, went 1-1 with a double and 3 walks. Jim Unknown earned the save for California, his 1st of the year. The slumping Sun Devils have lost 6 straight.
Ezana Khalil had a big at-bat in the top of the third inning for the Golden Bears. With his team down, 2-1, the third baseman hit a 2-run triple, to put California ahead.
"Nice to get this one," said Cochrane. "Wins have been hard to come by."
