|
Mississippi State shortstop Don Clark played a vital role in his team's 8-2 triumph over Oregon State. He was 2 for 2 with a double and 2 walks for Mississippi State. Willie Marks, credited with the win, is now 4-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. The Bulldogs, at 16-18, sit in 14th place in the Cliff Gustafson.
Edgardo Acevedo came through for Mississippi State in the bottom of the third. With no one out, Acevedo victimized Bryan Neal with a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put Mississippi State on top, 3-1.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Clark told the Mississippi State News.
