Rebels Suffer 7-2 Loss to Golden Bears

The Golden Bears took Ole Miss pitcher Chris Shuck's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Wrightsville College. The final score was 7-2, California. Shuck went 7 innings and allowed 2 earned runs, striking out 8. California is now 10-22, Ole Miss 20-12.
California grabbed control in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases empty, Dale Miller delivered a solo home run, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Golden Bears.
"I'm proud of the boys for pulling through," said California Golden Bears manager Marcos Silva. "The wins don't come easy for this team, but everyone's got an extra jump in their step after a game like this."
