Rebels Get Road Win, 6-3
|
Benefiting from Doug Moyer's productive game, the Ole Miss Rebels downed the USC Trojans, 6-3. Moyer went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 times for the Rebels. Ole Miss reliever Robin McBride picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Tim Turner was saddled with the loss. At 20-11, the Rebels find themselves in third place in the Cliff Gustafson.
Shane Gross broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the fourth with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch. It put the Rebels in front, 3-2. For the game, Gross drove in one run.
"We did a lot of things right," said Moyer.
