Allen 4-5 in Ragin Cajuns Win
|
The Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns cruised to a 14-4 win over the Houston Cougars at Field of the Dukes today. Gene Allen led the way, going 4-for-5 for Louisiana-Layfayette. Louisiana-Layfayette occupies 6th place in the Cliff Gustafson at 17-11.
Hank Ramsey provided some punch for the Ragin Cajuns. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 1st and Louisiana-Layfayette trailing 1-0, he lit into a curveball from Chris Taylor, sending it out of the park. The 2-run homer put the Ragin Cajuns up, 2-1.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Allen.
