Bears Win at Houston, 4-1

In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Baylor Bears stymied the Houston Cougars, 4-1, at Suns Ballpark. Ambo Kimweri, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk for Baylor. Reliever Keith Anderson picked up the win. His record improves to 3-1. Grant Peterson took the loss. Jason Rogers picked up the save for Baylor, his 7th of the year.
Baylor designated hitter Tim McDonald staked his team to an early lead in the top of the second inning, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run with the bases loaded.
"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said Baylor skipper Cody Evans. "I can't complain."
Baylor currently is in 6th place in the Cliff Gustafson at 16-11.
