Victory Over Golden Eagles Takes Arizona to 18-9
|
Fans who came to Red Wings Ballpark watched the Arizona Wildcats and the South Mississippi Golden Eagles fight to the finish.
Arizona rode a decent outing from starter Pat Glass to victory over the South Mississippi Golden Eagles at Red Wings Ballpark. The final score was 4-3. Mal Goff picked up the save, his 5th.
Travis Carter took Tony Cox deep in the bottom of the fifth. His solo home run put the Wildcats in front, 3-2. For the game, Carter was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times.
Carter attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
