Green Wave Hang 11-3 Loss on Horned Frogs

The Tulane Green Wave had no problem beating the TCU Horned Frogs, 11-3, at Berthoud College Grounds. Michael Adkins led the way. He was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for Tulane. Randolph Riddle, the winner, improved to 1-2. He held the Horned Frogs to 1 runs on 3 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 2. At 12-13, the Green Wave find themselves in 13th place in the Cliff Gustafson.
Mark Doss was a key contributor to the win for the Green Wave. In the bottom of the first with two out, the light-hitting catcher stroked a single to center. He was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs.
"Some of the guys in here work pretty hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Adkins told the Tulane News.
