The California Golden Bears cruised to a 16-4 win over the Houston Cougars at Suns Ballpark today. Dale Miller led the way, going 4-for-6 for California. The slumping Cougars have lost 7 straight.

Kelly Johnson was a key contributor to the win for the Golden Bears. In the top of the fifth with two out, the light-hitting center fielder stroked a single to right. He went 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk, while scoring 2 runs.
