Loss Extends Cal State Fullerton Losing Streak
|
The UCLA Bruins stopped the Cal State Fullerton Titans, 9-4, at Ballpark of Shiprock College. The Bruins got a big game from George Beasley, who went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Frank Butler finished to wrap up his 1st save. The slumping Titans have dropped 7 in a row.
Beasley put UCLA up, 9-2, when he hit a 3-run home run off Marty Gray in the bottom of the sixth. His 1st home run of the season helped the Bruins capture the win.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Cal State Fullerton manager Jeffrey Woodruff.
