Trojans Roll Over Wildcats, 9-3

With second baseman Jake Gantz leading the charge, the USC Trojans defeated the Arizona Wildcats, 9-3, at Red Wings Ballpark. Gantz, who is tied for 6th in the RDL in RBI with 20, was 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. With the win, USC has a record of 12-7. Arizona falls to 13-6.
When the Trojans needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Gantz who delivered. Facing Arizona pitcher Enrico Trujillo the top of the fourth with the bases loaded, Gantz hit his 4th home run of the year. It made the score 7-2.
"If we keep hitting the ball well, the wins will pile up," said USC skipper Tommy Hayes.
