Rebels Stay Hot With 6-4 Win
|
The Ole Miss Rebels defeated the UCLA Bruins, 6-4. Earning player of the game honors was center fielder Doug Moyer, who was 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. Ole Miss reliever Stu Fletcher picked up the win, upping his record to 4-0. Don Weston was saddled with the loss. The 6th-place Rebels have won 8 straight.
Had it not been for Stephen Serrea, the results might have been different. In the bottom of the seventh inning, when the Rebels were trailing 4-3, Serrea hit a 2-run double for Ole Miss, giving his team the lead.
"We're just feeding off each other right now," said Serrea.
