Wildcats Win Again, Streak Now at 10
|
The Arizona Wildcats got a good effort from starter Ronaldo Garza in defeating the Cal State Fullerton Titans at Hartford College Grounds. The final score was 5-1. Garza went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 7. His record improves to 1-1. Arizona has now reeled off 10 straight wins.
José Gómez came through for Arizona in the top of the second. With two out, Gómez victimized Bob Galloway with a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put Arizona on top, 2-0.
"The clubhouse vibe is great," said Arizona manager Zak Buchanan.
