LSU left fielder Bob Wright had a 4-RBI game, which helped his team beat the California Golden Bears, 6-3. Jessie O'Connor picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Kip Parrish was tagged with the loss. The 22nd-place Golden Bears have lost 4 straight games.
