The Oregon State Beavers defeated the Houston Cougars, 9-4, in Rod Dedeaux League action at Suns Ballpark, with Oregon State third baseman Myron Stone named player of the game. Earning his 4th save of the year was Larry Collins. Oregon State has now won 4 straight.

Stone came through for Oregon State with a 2-run double in the top of the first. He hit a 2-1 fastball to left-center field, staking his team to a 2-0 lead.

"The most important thing is that we won," Stone said.
