Armada Win at Mile High, 7-2
|
The Quebec Armada relied on the hitting of third baseman Pramana Djambek to stop the Mile High Mustangs, 7-2. For the game, Djambek was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Quebec starter Elmer Turner was credited with the win after throwing 115 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 1-1. The Armada saw their win-loss record go to 29-31. At the same time, the Mustangs fell to 20-41.
A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd and two out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when second baseman Apupa Vuppula reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run. The Armada went on to win.
"It feels good to get this one," Vuppula told the Quebec Times.
