Bruins Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
UCLA starter Andy Dasher had a strong outing against the Texas Longhorns at Ballpark of Shiprock College. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 7-4 win. UCLA reliever Frank Butler picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Carlos Domínguez was saddled with the loss. The Bruins improve their record to 11-4 with the win over Texas.

UCLA took a 6-4 lead on Mel Howell's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Texas pitcher Carlos Domínguez in the bottom of the eighth.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Dasher said.
