Beavers Topple Golden Bears as Griffin Shines
|
Ed Griffin added some punch to the Oregon State offense, helping them outmuscle the California Golden Bears, 10-7. In the game, Griffin, who is tied for 9th in the RDL in home runs with 5, was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Larry Collins nailed down his 3rd save. Oregon State is now 9-5.
Troy Sutton, the Oregon State shortstop, contributed a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second inning to make the score 6-3, Beavers. For the game, Sutton went 2-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.
