Lacy goes 3-for-3 in Green Wave Win
|
With center fielder John Lacy leading the charge, the Tulane Green Wave defeated the UCLA Bruins, 8-4, at Berthoud College Grounds. Lacy was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Tulane reliever Bill Harrison picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Michael Richardson was saddled with the loss. Gary Crocker, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save.
Lacy in the bottom of the third had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and the Green Wave leading 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run.
"We'll build on this win," said Lacy.
Tulane now owns a record of 6-9.
