The Oregon Ducks beat the TCU Horned Frogs, 7-4, at Dingoes Ballpark. The Ducks got a fine performance from center fielder Héctor Gallegos, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Oregon reliever Steve Mitchell was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Bud Lee took the loss. Oregon is now 6-8, TCU 5-9.

Gallegos contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Oregon in the top of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-2, Gallegos took a fastball from Bud Lee and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Ducks to leap in front, 5-4.

"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Gallegos.
