Victory Over Bombers Takes Jersey to 37-23
Eric Swinney had a good game, but he could not keep the South Carolina Bombers from falling, 7-5, to the Jersey Jesters at The Royal Court at Jersey Yards. The South Carolina second baseman was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once in the loss. Mitsuharu Shionoya got the win, improving to 3-5. He pitched 8 innings, giving up 8 hits and 5 runs, while striking out 7 and walking 1. Ron Anderson recorded his 12th save for Jersey.

The Jesters got a big at-bat from right fielder Akio Ishii. For the game, Ishii went 1-5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Jersey a 5-2 lead.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Ishii told the Jersey Citizen.
