Wright Lifts Tigers to 8-2 Triumph
The LSU Tigers thumped the Arizona State Sun Devils, 8-2, at Ballpark of Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley College. Bob Wright was a big reason his team got the win. Wright was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Leland Bullins picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 2 earned runs on 4 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 1-2. The save was credited to Ellis LaRiviere, his 1st.

Garth Sawyer didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run double to put LSU on top, 2-0.

"We were firing on all cylinders today," said LSU Tigers manager Harry Morris.
