Gamblers Lose to Republic, 8-5

So Cal and Las Vegas duked it out at The Ballpark at Potomac Yard and the Republic came out victorious.
Benefiting from Fernando Murillo's productive game, the So Cal Republic downed the Las Vegas Gamblers, 8-5. Murillo was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Republic. Adhipa Vemireddy, the winner, improved to 7-3. He held the Gamblers to 4 runs on 5 hits over 6.1 innings, while striking out 9 and walking 4.
Murillo had an important at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the top of the sixth, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Republic went on to win.
"I like our mindset right now," said So Cal manager Munenori Sato.
So Cal is now riding a 4-game win streak.
