The Tulane Green Wave did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Baylor Bears at Berthoud College Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Vic Smith, who captured player of the game honors. The Green Wave, with only their 2nd win in 8 games, have not had much to write home about in 2028.
Tulane's win came gift-wrapped. With two out in the bottom of the ninth, with the game tied, Justin Morse reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run.
"We're all about heart and hustle on this team. That's what wins ballgames," Morse told the Tulane News.
