Patriots Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
The Manhattan Beach Patriots turned back the New York Mafia, 13-12, at Don Corleone Park. Bagaskoro Pakpahan was named player of the game for his fine performance. He was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Manhattan Beach reliever Joachim Doucet was credited with the win, to go to 3-0. Clemente Curry took the loss for New York. Luciano Carreiras notched his 1st save in 2 chances.

Late-game drama came in the top of the tenth inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Bagaskoro Pakpahan, hit a single. It helped Manhattan Beach seize the win.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Pakpahan.

The Patriots bumped their record to 31-29 with this latest triumph.
