With third baseman Myron Stone leading the charge, the Oregon State Beavers defeated the Washington State Cougars, 8-1, at Palisades Ballpark. Stone was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. Vernon Whittier picked up the save for Oregon State, his 1st of the year. With the win, Oregon State elevates its record to 4-2.
Stone delivered in the bottom of the third for Oregon State. With the game tied and runners on 1st and 2nd, the third baseman hit a 2-run double to left-center.
