In a tight contest at Crunch Ballpark, the Texas A&M Aggies edged the Oregon Ducks by the score of 5-4. Texas A&M designated hitter Lynn Winston, who blasted 1 home run, was named the player of the game. Texas A&M reliever Frank Ingram picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Josh King absorbed the loss. Earning his 1st save for Texas A&M was Daniel White.
Had Robert Compton not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Compton hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Aggies.
"I was a little disappointed," said Oregon manager Manny Cruz. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
The Aggies, with just their 2nd win so far in 2028, have yet to catch fire.
